To begin with, you won’t find a better and cheaper cleaning product on the market. Just create a paste of baking soda and water to apply to bathroom sinks, counters, tiles, and trash cans. With just a bit of effort, this paste removes lime scale, soap scum, and stains. It even takes off ugly stains that appear in your toilet bowl, and it costs a lot less than the traditional cleaners.
Also, nothing works better as a room deodorizer than baking soda. It’s naturally an odor neutralizer and absorbs nearly all airborne odors. To keep down the odors from a cat’s litter box, sprinkle a little baking soda into the litter box. A box of baking soda can be set in the refrigerator to keep away food odors.
If you like having clean laundry, just add some baking soda to your wash. It will make your clothes sparkle. Your colored clothes will continue to be vibrant and your white clothes will be even whiter. It’s easy to ruin colored clothes by adding too much bleach, which will eat through them if you put do that. Baking soda doesn’t present that problem.
Last, but not least, there are many personal reasons that you can use baking soda. It’s a very popular teeth whitening product and many people use it when brushing their teeth. This also kills germs along with keeping your teeth white.
You can also use baking soda to chase away heartburn and an upset stomach. There’s really no need to spend all of that money on over the counter heartburn remedies when the baking soda is available for much less and is even more effective than the brand name remedies.
